Chapter 1: Activating System
Splash! Water splashed everywhere.
Wang Dali floated to the surface of the sea, greedily gasping for air.
It was a close call; he almost drowned from swallowing too much seawater.
Boom!
On the stormy sea, rain poured down, and the wind raged.
In the clouds, lightning brewed, occasionally striking the sea's surface.
Wang Dali looked around in confusion.
By the light illuminating the stormy sea, Wang Dali saw a mysterious island. It towered above the sea, shrouded in endless darkness, resembling a ferocious ancient beast.
On the edge of the island, towering rocks jutted out of the sea, some carved into huge, intimidating human heads.
"What the heck, where is this spooky place?" Wang Dali exclaimed in shock.
"Why does it resemble Skull Island from the movies?"
Wang Dali fiercely slapped the water, venting his fear.
Before the ship sank, it was late at night. The area where the cruise ship was located was none other than the cursed Sunda Islands.
And on the cruise ship, a global superstar cruise party was in full swing.
"Damn it, things are going south!"
Wang Dali couldn't help but shout. It was a superstar party, with many celebrities, tycoons, playboys, and heiresses from around the world. If the entire ship sank, how many important figures would die?
"This is going to make headlines worldwide tomorrow morning!"
Wang Dali knew that an accident like this would definitely shake the world, probably even more shocking than the Titanic incident years ago.
"Anyway, survival comes first!" Wang Dali scanned his surroundings.
There were no cries for help on the sea, no broken lifeboats, and no bodies. There was nothing but surging seawater and raging storms.
"Damn it, did everyone on the ship perish?"
Wang Dali took a deep breath and swam towards the edge of the island.
The island was surrounded by tall black rocks, with no sandy beaches in sight.
Something was definitely wrong; this couldn't be where the cruise ship sank. That place had sandy beaches and gentle coastlines, unlike here, where the terrain was rugged, with menacing rocks, much like a mysterious Skull Island from a certain movie.
"Damn, I need to get ashore first!"
Wang Dali felt the water was extremely cold, his body heat rapidly dissipating, which was detrimental to his survival.
He had to conserve his strength and then search for and rescue others as much as possible.
"Damn shipwreck!"
Wang Dali couldn't believe it. The luxury cruise was the Queen of Brunei, one of the world's top yachts; safety should have been assured. Yet, it sank?
His dream goddess was still on the ship; he prayed to God, hoping they were all safe.
Grabbing onto the rocks, Wang Dali began to climb.
"Ding, the God System is activated. The host triggers extraordinary exploration!"
A series of cold synthetic electronic sounds echoed in Wang Dali's mind.
"What the heck, whose ghostly voice is this?"
Wang Dali was stunned, then shivered. Could it be that at this moment of life and death, he gained a system?
Hmm, it's called the God System, sounds pretty awesome!
"Loading Super Camera—"
A floating sphere appeared beside Wang Dali, slowly moving around him.
"Is this the Super Camera?"
Wang Dali reached out and waved, his fingers passing through the sphere.
"Damn, this sphere isn't physical. Is this some high-tech gadget from aliens?" Wang Dali was bewildered.
"Connecting to the world network—"
"Connection successful. Searching for host data—"
Soon, a transparent screen appeared in Wang Dali's mind, displaying his various attributes.
