"Ye Xiu gege, wait a moment," said Tang Wanqing before running out again.
Ye Xiu looked puzzled. What was this girl up to? Why did everything feel so strange?
Soon enough, Tang Wanqing returned, carrying a bunch of vegetables.
If she had gone to buy them, it would have taken at least half an hour. But Tang Wanqing had made the round trip in just a few minutes. Clearly, she had prepared everything in advance.

Ten minutes later, a table full of delicious food was ready. Ye Xiu had to admit that Tang Wanqing's cooking skills were pretty good. The food had a homey taste to it. But the atmosphere felt somewhat strange.
As Ye Xiu ate, Tang Wanqing sat there staring at him, chin in her hands, creating an awkward atmosphere.
Finally, after finishing his meal, Ye Xiu sighed and asked, "What's on your mind? Just tell me, I'll definitely help you."
"I'll go wash the dishes first," Tang Wanqing blushed suddenly, then packed up and disappeared into the kitchen.

Why did everything feel so weird?
It seemed like he was being fattened up before being slaughtered?
The sudden and meticulous care made Ye Xiu feel a bit overwhelmed.
As he watched Tang Wanqing busying herself until it got dark outside, showing no signs of leaving, Ye Xiu's mouth twitched. He walked to the kitchen door and said, "Wanqing, it's getting dark. You should go home."
"No need, I told my sister that I want to stay here to study quietly for a few days, so I won't be going back," Tang Wanqing replied calmly.
"Alright, then hurry up and study. Since you're in your senior year, studying should be your top priority," Ye Xiu hinted, implying, "Don't have any dangerous ideas."
"Ye Xiu gege, don't worry, I'm the top student in my class," Tang Wanqing reassured him.

You're the top student in your class, yet you're telling me you're staying to study?
That lie is just too far-fetched!
As if suddenly remembering something, Tang Wanqing quickly changed her tune, "I was first last semester, but I dropped to third this semester."
After a pause, Tang Wanqing asked, "Ye Xiu gege, you must have been a good student too, right?"
Yanshan University wasn't very famous, but it was still a decent school in Kyoto. Being able to get in meant Ye Xiu must have been a good student.
Ye Xiu nodded, "Not bad."
"Really? That's great," Tang Wanqing said as she came out of the kitchen, grabbed Ye Xiu's hand, and said earnestly, "Then can you help me with my studies, Ye Xiu gege?"
"Sure, I still remember a lot from my senior year," Ye Xiu replied. High school material wasn't too difficult for him, considering he was a top student in high school as well. So, without much thought, he agreed, thinking it might even come with a reward.
He added, "Let's start tomorrow. I'll tutor you."
"No, we start today," Tang Wanqing insisted, blushing even more, "Isn't it best to study at night when it's quiet?"
"Tonight?" Ye Xiu glanced at his watch. "It's already 7 p.m."
"Yes, exactly. It's quiet at night, so it's the best time for tutoring!" Tang Wanqing blushed and held Ye Xiu's hand, saying, "Isn't it good?"
Unable to resist Tang Wanqing's persistence, Ye Xiu reluctantly agreed.
But instead of going to Tang Wanqing's place, they ended up in his room for the tutoring session.
Ye Xiu thought it would be simple—teach Tang Wanqing some exam tricks and send her off to bed. But he soon realized he had underestimated the situation.
When Tang Wanqing returned with her homework and opened the door, Ye Xiu was stunned.
