Chapter 19: A New Shelter!

"Unfortunately, it seems so."

Wang Dali fell silent. The reality was indeed cruel. By all accounts, with modern civilization's capabilities, they shouldn't have been unable to find such a large island.

But that's exactly how it was.

This mysterious island seemed completely cut off from the world. Even satellites in the sky couldn't find it. Otherwise, with an island like this inhabited by terrifying giant apes, it should have shocked the world long ago.

"What do we do? How do we handle this? This place is so scary, Oppa, I don't want to die here. I miss my mom, dad, sister, and brother. I don't want to die here!" Xiumei panicked, crying.

"Alright, alright, calm down, Xiumei. I will protect you, everything will be alright. I promise you, I will definitely take you home, okay?" Wang Dali comforted her quickly.

After all, she was just a little girl who suddenly encountered a shipwreck, wandered on a terrifying deserted island, and experienced a series of terrifying disasters. Anyone would collapse under such circumstances.

"Really?"

"I promise!"

"Thank you, Oppa, I trust you!" Xiumei wiped her tears. After the incident with the giant ape attack, Pei Xiumei already completely trusted Wang Dali.

Wang Dali turned and said, "Dear viewers, I must now find a safe place to rest. Our clothes are soaked again, and we must dry them. We are also threatened by hunger and must find food as soon as possible!"

"The host needs to find a cave by the river—"

"The host can search along the river. It should be possible to find a safe shelter—"

Numerous suggestions from viewers immediately appeared on the live screen.

Wang Dali looked at them and thought it was reliable. The power of many people working together was indeed formidable.

"Alright, I will now follow the advice of some viewers and search along the riverbank for a suitable shelter!" Wang Dali packed up his belongings and took Xiumei to search along the riverbank.

"Oppa, there's a huge crevice over there!" Xiumei pointed to a large cluster of rocks on the riverbank.

"Yeah, it's a cluster of rocks with a cave."

Wang Dali was delighted and quickly inspected it. It was a relatively closed and dry cave with no traces of wild beasts. It should be a safe place.

"Dear viewers, we're lucky to have found a temporary shelter. Perhaps we should immediately start a bonfire. We're all soaking wet!" Wang Dali took out two pieces of flint from his pocket and joked, "These were taken from the native tribe. Please don't report me for theft!"

The bonfire was successfully started, and the fire was roaring. There was plenty of dry fern grass in the cave.

"Dear viewers, did you notice? The storm has unconsciously stopped, and the dark clouds in the sky are quickly dispersing. It's already bright outside. According to my estimate, it's around 8 o'clock in the morning local time!"

"For safety reasons, we should stay in the cave for the time being. Perhaps we can dry our clothes and then carefully inspect the surroundings to ensure that no ferocious beasts appear again!"

"Oppa, I'm scared," Xiumei shivered.

"No need to be afraid, it's very safe here now!"

Wang Dali began to dry his clothes. After a while, the sky cleared up completely, and it was already bright outside.

"Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle."

Xiumei's stomach growled.

"Our Xiumei is hungry—"

"The host must be hungry too—"

"After experiencing a thrilling night, the physical exertion must have been enormous. The host can probably eat a whole cow now—"

"The host is so miserable, still having to find food. Meanwhile, I'm drinking milk and eating bread—"

"I'm eating a hamburger from KFC—"

"I'm eating dumplings from Qingfeng—"

"You've exposed your location. Are you from Beijing? I'm from Atlanta—"

"I'm from Sydney—"

"I'm from Tokyo—"

"I'm from Morocco—"

"I'm from Egypt—"

Wang Dali was speechless. As the viewers continued to talk, they began to report their hometowns, and countless place names started flooding the screen.

The viewers from over 190 countries and regions around the world began to report their hometowns. What a scene!

It was chaos!

The massive number of online viewers made the messages roll like a waterfall.

So much so that many people immediately typed "shut up."

Wang Dali shook his head and checked his bow and arrows to ensure there were no problems with his weapons.

After drying his clothes, Wang Dali suddenly stood up, and the online live broadcast immediately quieted down.

"Dear viewers, after a while of rest, I feel much better. The feeling of being dry all over is nice. I've decided to go out and observe the surroundings, while also looking for food. After the thrilling escape in the middle of the night, Xiumei and I have exhausted our energy. We must pay attention to replenishing our strength!"

Wang Dali said.

"Oppa, I'll go with you!" Xiumei quickly said.

"No need, you rest here. It's very safe, and I'll be nearby. I won't let this place out of my sight!" Wang Dali quickly persuaded her.

"Oh, alright, just don't go too far. Maybe we can catch some fish?"

"That's exactly what I have in mind!"

Wang Dali made an OK gesture and was about to walk out of the cave.

"Roar!"

A huge angry roar came from the riverbank, causing Wang Dali to shiver involuntarily.

"Oppa, what's that?" Xiumei was terrified, hiding behind Wang Dali and tightly clutching his clothes, her face pale.
