TEEOGLB Chapter 40: The Savior Arrives!

The giant ape woke up, its head still a bit groggy.

By the time it fully regained its senses, Wang Dali and Xiumei were already about to run out of the cave.

Seeing its prey escaping, the giant ape became furious.

Roaring angrily, the giant ape pounded its chest, then charged towards Wang Dali and Xiumei who were fleeing.

"It's over, it's over! Wang Dali is really reckless again—"

"Now Xiumei will be implicated again—"

"Wang Dali, how despicable! Are you always this careless—"

"If he gets eaten by the giant ape, I won't sympathize with him—"

"Big Brother Dali, hurry and run for your life—"

Wang Dali gave a bitter smile. Wasn't he already running for his life? And accidentally kicking a skull, wasn't that just an accident? Even saints make mistakes when they're nervous, wasn't it unfair to blame him?

Besides, it was pointless to say anything now. Escaping was the priority.

Wang Dali rolled with Xiumei as the giant ape's huge palm swept over. Loose rocks fell from the cave entrance as the ground shook.

Wang Dali helped Xiumei up and took a deep breath. "Xiumei, you run, I'll hold it off!"

"No, let's go together, or we'll die together!"

Xiumei shook her head resolutely, her teeth biting her lips, disregarding the blood that had been drawn. She looked pitifully adorable, as if she pitied herself.

"To be able to live and die together with Xiumei, what more could Wang Dali ask for?!"

Wang Dali suddenly felt heroic, holding a longbow in his hand, he shot an arrow.

Perhaps it was luck, the arrow feather grazed a falling rock, causing the arrow to veer slightly and embed itself in the giant ape's left eye.

"Ahh!"

The giant ape was suddenly injured, roaring in pain as it pulled the arrow out, blood spurting from its eye.

"Run!"

Wang Dali felt fortunate. Now everything depended on the giant ape's severely damaged vision, which might allow him and Xiumei to escape!

Running out of the cave, Wang Dali and Xiumei plunged into the dense forest.

But the giant ape wasn't willing to let the humans who hurt it go. It was furious, remembering Wang Dali's appearance clearly. He was the one who took away its prey, making it extremely angry.

Wang Dali was the annoying little bug that kept opposing it!

That annoying little bug had to die!

The giant ape crashed into the forest, countless trees snapped instantly, but it paid no attention, destroying everything that stood in its way.

"Ah!"

The giant ape suddenly leaped behind Wang Dali, raising its fist to strike down on his head.

"No!"

Wang Dali instinctively rolled aside. With a loud bang, where he had just stood was now a huge pit. The powerful force knocked Wang Dali and Xiumei over.

Xiumei was already pale with fear.

It was too terrifying, wasn't it?

This giant ape's body was too strong, breaking whatever it hit, and its fists were hard, smashing whatever they hit into pieces.

It was unimaginable what would happen if a person was hit by its fist.

There was no escape!

Xiumei despaired in an instant. She and Wang Dali were just ordinary people, unable to contend with such a monstrous beast from the wilderness.

The viewers watching the livestream were also dumbfounded.

This giant ape was so ferocious, wasn't it?

"It's over, it's over. The terror of the giant ape far exceeds expectations. I'm already in despair—"

"Let's mourn for Wang Dali and Xiumei—"

"Don't say that I'm gloating over others' misfortune, but the fact is that Wang Dali and Xiumei are doomed—"

"I can't see any possibility of Wang Dali escaping from the giant ape's clutches—"

"God, what should we do—"

Wang Dali also felt hopeless. Without a miracle, he would never be able to escape the clutches of the giant ape again.

The giant ape raised its fist, ready to strike again.

Wang Dali instinctively stood in front of Xiumei, ready to die first. In his life, he had shone brightly like a shooting star. At the moment of life and death, why care about this insignificant flesh?

For some, they were already dead even when they were alive. For others, they were still alive even when they were dead.

Let himself die heroically, let himself embody the dignity of life! Believe that the dignity of life would not diminish because of the insignificance of life itself.

"Oppa, don't!"

Xiumei tried to push Wang Dali away, but Wang Dali's physique was so strong now, how could she, a little girl, push him away?

In the nick of time, between life and death.

Shoo, shoo, shoo.

Poisonous spears flew out of the dense forest like raindrops, hitting the giant ape.

Although the giant ape had thick skin, some of the spears still pierced through, hurting its fur.

What was terrifying was that the tips of the spears were soaked in the venom of poisonous snakes, scorpions, spiders, and flowers. For ordinary creatures, it was a deadly poison.

The giant ape was wounded, its skin immediately itching and burning, turning black and swollen.

Its fist, which had been about to smash Wang Dali and Xiumei, could no longer come down. The giant ape howled in pain, sat down on the ground with a loud thud, and began pulling out the poisonous spears from its body.

Wang Dali was overjoyed. Turning his head, he saw countless dark-skinned natives rushing over from all directions, surrounding—of all things—the giant ape!

Holy moly, dodged another bullet.

Wang Dali was relieved, truly worthy of having a Luck value of 21. In the depths of fate, the goddess of luck was indeed watching over him and Xiumei.
